up dated: 2014-04-06 - Pursuant to the New Canadian Immigration law changes, we have temporarily paused our services in Sri Lanka.
Mr.Dharmasena Yakandawela made two proposals to the Government of Sri Lanka:
1. On possible options for Sri Lankan qualified nurses to gainadmissions to practise nursing in Canada. (after being registered in respective regulatory bodies.)
2. Setting up a Nursing Faculty in affiliation a Sri Lankan University With a Canadian University. This Faculty can attract the students from South Asian Region. The Faculty will focus on nursing education in European labour market.
3.Hon Minster of Health,Maithripala Sirisena,sent one of his representatives to Canada to explore the opportunity on the above subject on 26 01/2011 and this was a very successful meeting.More info to be published soon...
4 In 2012 , YLD Canada Ltd Facilitated Kwantlen Polytechnic University (www.kwantlen.ca) and Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka to singed a MOU in order for Sri Lankan Nursing Graduates to have a bridging program to gain Canadian academic and practical experience to qualify as Canadian Nurses.
